east of Quartzville Road. Injuries were minor. The driver of the silver 2006 Hundai Elantra, Robin D. Hudson, 37, of Albany, and the passenger in the
brown 1982 Ford pickup, Robert M. Cunningham of Lebanon. 19. were transported to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital with minor injuries,
according to Oregon State Police. Police said Brent A. Prather. 20. of Sweet Home was driving the pickup westbound. Hudson's vehicle crossed into
the left lane while traveling eastbound and negotiating a righthand curve, striking the pickup, police said. Hudson was cited for failing to drive to the
right of an approaching vehicle. Cunningham, who hit his head on the windshield, was cited for failure to use seatbeh, according to police.

City Council
re-appoints
commissioners
The Sweet Home City
Council reappointed Dick Meyers
and Michael E. Adams to four-
year terms on the Planning
Commission.
Chairman Meyers has now
served on the commission for 35
years, including 32 as chairman.
Adams has been on the commission
for four years.
The council also reappointed
Nancy Patton and Craig Lunde
to two-year terms on the Traffic
Safety Committee.
In other business, the council
held a public hearing to vacate
a portion of Grape Street west of
llth Avenue and held the first
reading of the ordinance to vacate
the undeveloped street.
