TnL NEw ERA ON TnL Road
In Iceland
The New Era went with Jan
Barthel and her son Russ on
a visit to Iceland. Here Jan
is in front of Gotafoss Falls.
Although the light level was
"murky" for much of the
visit, the trip was "incred-
ible," she said. This photo
actually originally had a
dark blue hazy overlay that.
Jan said, was the way it was
when she was there, but we
were able to lighten it up a
bit to make the images more
visible. Jan says she's go-
ing back.

Little bit of
appreciation
for Oak Heights
teachers
Lebanon Wal-Mart employees
presented Oak Heights' teachers
with $50 gift cards, cupcakes, and
veggie tray in the Oak Heights
library during a late-October
after-school visit. According to
a company statement, each year
local Wal-Mart stores select a
school to recognize as part of their
Teacher Rewards program. This
year Oak Heights' teachers were
recognized for their commitment
in spending their own money to
educate children.
