Dolores Schuller
April 10, 1922 - Sept. 20, 2012
Dolores "Patty" - Patricia
Schuller, 90, of Sweet Home died
Sept. 20, 2012.
She was born April 10, 1922
in Walla Walla, Wash. to Lester and
Lilah (Smith) Fender. Her sister,
Donna, was two years younger.
When she was 4 years old,
her family moved to Chula Vista,
Calif. where her parents owned a
service station.
She graduated from Sweetwa-
ter High School in 1939. While she
was taking classes at San Diego
State she met a dashing gentleman,
10 years her senior, who swept her
off her feet and changed her plans
of becoming a kindergarten teach-
er. She became Mrs. Dick Schuller
in 1940.
They welcomed daughter Les-
lie Ann in 1943 and son Richard
John in 1947.
In 1949, The Schullers heard
the gospel and made their choice to
serve the Lord. They hosted Sun-
day worship services in their home
for over 30 years.
After Mr. Schuller died in
2002, Mrs. Schuller stayed in their
home for another five years before
moving to Oregon in 2007. She
loved her smaller house and loved
helping those less able than her. In
2010 she moved to Wiley Creek
and was adored by residents and
staff.
Mrs. Schuller is survived by
her daughter, Leslie, and son-in-
law Sherman Weld of Sweet Home;
son Rick of I;;;;;: '::': ::
Oceanside,
Calif.; five
grandchildren;
and 12 great-
grandchildren;
nieces and
nephews; and
numerous others who counted her
a dear friend, both in California
and Oregon.
Funeral services were held
Sept. 22, with final burial at Glen
Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita,
Calif.

Carole Bondesen
Oct. 24, 1937- Sept. 18, 2012
Carole Cecile Bondesen, 74, of
Sweet Home died Sept. 18, 2012.
She was born in Long Beach, Ca-
lif. to Burr and Dorothy (Farrow)
Alexander.
She came to Sweet Home from
California in 1960. Mrs. Bondesen
worked for the State of Oregon
budget department.
She was baptized in 1962
and was a part of the Highway 20
Church of Christ at the time of her
death.
She loved people and sharing
God's word. She enjoyed traveling
and camping especially with fam-
ily.
Mrs. Bondesen is survived
by a son, Gary and daughter-in-
law Dianna Bondesen of Sweet
Home; daughter Denise Parrish;
two grandchildren; and four great-

March 22, 1938 - Sept. 8, 2012
Barbara Christina "Chris"
(Dayton) Eckels passed away
Sept. 8, 2012.
She is survived by her lov-
ing husband of 53 years, Lee
Eckles; her faithful daughter,
Leslie Eckles, her loving son,
Stuart; his wife Shera; their chil-
dren, Jacob and Zachary Eckles;
and her brother William and his
wife Joann Dayton of Northville,
Mich.
Chris was born in the coun-
tryside, in Holley, on March
22, 1938, to Elmer and Barbara
Dayton. She attended Holley
(one-room) School and schools
in Sweet Home.
She earned her bachelor's
degree at the University of Ore-
gon, where she met and married
? Lee. They lived in Oakland, Ca-
lif. and Hartford, Conn., before
traveling and settling down in
Fairfax and
Santa Ve-
netia, Calif.
Chris
received
her mas-
ter's degree
in coun-
seling and
worked as
a teacher,
counselor and office manager.
She was a member of First Pres-
byterian Church of San Rafael,
and Chris and Lee were active in
local square dancing clubs.
A memorial service will be
held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept.
27, at Keaton's Mortuary, 1022
"E" St., San Rafael, followed by
a reception.
She will be sorely missed
and forever remembered. Rest in
peace, my dearest Chris.

Myrtle Golly
April 27, 1923 - Sept. 15, 2012
Myrtle E. Golly, 89, of Sweet
Home died in Bend Sept. 15,
2012.
She was born April 27, 1923
in Lebanon to LeRoy T. and Bessie
(Clark) Lewis.
Mrs. Golly loved to live the
pioneer lifestyle by gardening and
canning her harvest. She raised
four children while moving around
the country with her husband, who
served in the military.
She is survived by her chil-
dren, Nathan Golly of Bend; Ste-
ven Golly of the Marshall Islands;
and Susan Laufer of Honolulu;
brothers, Tom Lewis of Petersburg,
Alaska and Dennis Lewis of Sweet
Home; two grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren. She was pre-
ceded in death by her ex-husband,
Dale Golly; daughter Kathryn
Golly; and sister Irene Parker.
A memorial service will be
held at a later date.

Vivian Eva Wamsley, 64, of
Sweet Home, died Sept. 18, 2012,
She was born April 9, 1948 in
Tillamook, the daughter of Frank-
lin Baxter and Ida Lena (Smith)
Pike.
Mrs. Wamsley was a certified
nursing assistant and worked lo-
cally in Sweet Home, Lebanon and
Albany.
She enjoyed playing •bingo,
crocheting blankets and dolls, and
caring for her family.
Mrs. Wamsley is survived by
her husband, David Wamsley of
Sweet Home; sons David Steven
Wamsley II and Willard Wood,
both of Sweet Home; daughters

Matthew Wanner

Matthew Albert Wanner, 79, of
Sweet Home died Sept. 23, 2012.
He was born Aug. 12, 1933
in Antelope, N.D. to Casper and
Katherine (Steckler) Wanner.
Mr. Wanner lived in North Da-
kota, California, Oregon, Washing-
ton, Missouri, Florida and Illinois,
to name a few states in which he
resided. He served in the US Army
from April 1956 to April 1962.
He was a general contractor,
president of Home Builder's As-
sociation in Woodburn, a fourth-
degree Knights of Columbus, a
member of AA, and retired super,
visory position of Prison Industries
of California.
He loved praising the Lord,
woodworking, gardening and land-
scaping, traveling and reading. He
donated to many Christian organi-
zations and veterans groups.
Mr. Wanner is survived by his
wife, Theresia Wanner of Sweet
Home; daughters Monica Abbott
of Germany and Phoenix, Ariz.
and Susan Lordier of Sweet Home
and Grass Valley, Calif.; sons, Matt
Wanner of Katy, Texas and Glenn
Wanner of Vancouver, Wash.; 17
grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by
his son, Francis Wanner (1960);
