July 14 2:17 a.m. - Caller reported that he heard a loud noise, like a shotgun, 2300 block of Main. Officer responded. Unable to locate. 2':40 a.m. - Christopher Eugene Montez, 40, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to comply on a traffic citation, 2331 Main St. Cited and released. 5:58 a.m. - Caller reported a bicycle stolen during the night. Report taken. Approximate value was $400. 8:23 p.m. - Travis Trent Stach-Sells, 22, arrested on state warrant for failure to appear on original charge of fourth- degree assault and cited with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, Foster. Transported to Linn County Jail. 9:51 p.m. - Caller reported that someone is letting off illegal fireworks in the area, 27000 block of Riggs Hill. Officer responded. Unable to locate. July 13 10:16 a.m. - Caller reported a fake $20, 2405 Main St,, Circle K. Report taken. 4:56 p.m. - Joseph Arthur Williams, 33, cited for driving while suspended, Pleasant Valley Road. 8:01 p.m. - Shane William Wells, 36, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, 1700 block of 47th. 8:31 p.m. - Caller reported that someone stole his boat and snipped the cable on his security camera, 1100 block of Second. Report taken. Boat valued at approximately $400. 10:32 p.m. - Michelle Carpenter, 42, cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, Long and 28th. Vehicle impounded. 11:31 p.m. - Caller reported someone letting off fireworks, including bottle rockets, 12th and Elm. Officer responded and remained in area for some time. Unable to locate. July 12 1:05 a.m. - Caller reported loud gunshot, and a resident flagged down a police officer at South Fork Trailer Park, 3224 Main St., to report what sounded like an explosion. Officer contacted a resident who stated that a subject pulled up in a vehicle, lit one piece of fireworks and then left. 2:41 p.m. - Caller reported a shoplifter stealing three saw I blades valued at $18 caught on tape, 3041 Main St., Hoy's Hardware. 9:19 p.m. - Cherryl Lynn Carranza, 48, arrested for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), 903 Mountain View Road. Transported to Linn County Jail. July 11 9:20 a.m. - James Albert Reed, 19, arrested for two counts of third-degree rape and second: degree sexual abuse. 12:31 p.m. - Benton County Jail served a Sweet Home warrant on Devin Wayne Remington, 28, for failure to appear on original charge of failure to register as a sex offender, Benton County Jail. 5:49 p.m. - Caller was waiting for a female to cross the street so that she could turn. The female opened her back door and attempted to get inside the caller's car, Highway 228 and Fern Ridge. Cited and released. 5:30 a.m. - Cassie Lashell Meacham, 23, arrested on Linn County supervisory warrant for failure to comply on original charge of first-degree criminal trespass (owes seven days compensatory service), and Elbert Samuel Hackworth, 53, arrested on Linn County supervisory warrant for failure to comply on original charge of third-degree theft (owes seven days compensatory service), 1600 block of 18th. Both transported to Linn County Jail. While in custody, Meacham was cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. 2:43 p.m. - Caller reported i| that someone damaged her vehicle while parked, 1195 Main St. Report taken. Investigation continuing. 2:58 p.m.- Destiny Cheyenne Lovely, 15, referred to Juvenile Department for runaway, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Released to parents. 6:31 p.m. - Caller reported theft of a debit card, and it has been used several times, 1300 block of Sunset. Report taken. 7:17 p.m. - Noblelee Dawn Wright, 37, arrested on Jackson County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence and arrested on five counts of fraudulent use of a credit card, five counts of computer crime and second-degree theft, totaling $322.99, Sun Motel. Transported to Linn County Jail. July 9 3:34 p.m. - Caller reported being bitten by a dog while delivering a flyer for work, 900 block of 23rd. Officer contacted dog owner and issued a quarantine order. 9:55 p.m. - Caller reported illegal fireworks going off in the area, l lth and Cedar. Officer responded, unable to locate legal or illegal fireworks. 10:10 p.m. - Caller reported that neighbors across the street are letting off fireworks, 4100 block of Osage. Officer responded and found evidence of fireworks in the road, but no one was around.
