Call (541) 367-2135 OBITUARIES Melvin Walker June 17, 1939 -June 27, 2012 Melvin Duane Walker, 73, of Sweet Home died June 27, 2012. He was born June 17, 1939 in Sweet Home to Thomas Ver- non and Rita Jewell (Chambers) Walker. Sweet Home is where he remained and he was known and loved by many. Mr. Walker spent 40 years in the car business, partnering with his brother Bob during the last 24 of those in Walker Bros. Auto Sales of Sweet Home. He loved the Lord and at- tended Calva- ry Chapel of Lebanon. Mr. Walk- er enjoyed garage sales, buying homes, remodeling properties and selling them. He is survived by his wife, Sonya Elaine (Lovely) Walker of Sweet Home; son .Daniel Wayne Walker of Sweet Home; three step- children, Jeffrey D. Brennan Jr., Nicole D. "I also wanted to get more ex- perience working with people I' wouldn't ordinarily know or get to spend time with." She said her parents have been the biggest influence on her life. "They are the ones who raised me and have taught me right from wrong," Miller said. Miller plans to attend Brigham Young University in January. She will major in engineering and mi- nor in accounting.
