workers humanely dispatched

message to dispose of the carcass.
June 17
12:38 a.m. - Caller reported
driving through cling wrap stretched
across the roadway, 4000 block of
Long. Officer located and removed
the rest of it.
ll:21 a.m. - Caller reported
theft of purse with $300 in cash,
1530 Tamarack St., Mountain
Shadows Trailer Park. Report
taken.
5:11 p.m. - Matthew James
Wood, 20, arrested for felony fouh-
degree assault (domestic violence)
and endangering the welfare of a
minor, Clark Mill between Main
and Long. Transported to Linn
CounTy Jail. Caller reported that a
male subject on a bicycle had just
punched a female who was pushing
a stroller.
6:32 p.m. - Caller reported
that a female just reached into her
purse and stole money. Caller was
able to get the money back, 1540
Main St., Safeway. Report taken for
attempted third-degree theft.
8:16 p.m. - Nichol Renae
Jacks, 21, issued a citizen's citation
for attempted third-degree theft,
4338 Long St.
June 16
5 p.m. - Frank Eliot Swindall,
27, arrested on Sweet Home
warrant for failure to comply on

AD sentenced
Kostanty Knurowski, 33,
pleaded guilty to three counts of
third-degree sexual abuse on Jtme
12 in Linn County Circuit Court.
He was sentenced to 30 days
in jail for each count, to be served
concurrently. He is serving his sen-
tence at Linn County Jail and is
scheduled to be released on July 6;
Dismissed
were two counts
of third-degree
sexual abuse, a
class A misde-
meanor, and one
count of second-
degree sexual
abuse, a class C
Knurowski
felony.
Knurowski must pay $306 in
fees and fines.
He will serve three years pro-
bation and is not to have contact
with female minors or the victim.
He also was ordered not to frequent
areas where there are children, to
register as a sex offender and not to
have sexually explicit materials.
Knurowski was athletic direc-
tor, PE and health teacher and head
boys basketball coach at Sweet
Home High School.
School District 55 dismissed
Knurowski in May. He had been
on administrative leave, initially
paid and then unpaid, prior to his
dismissal.
Sweet Home police arrested
Knurowski on April 4 after an in-
vestigation beginning on March
25.
The charges were in connec-
tion to activity involving a female
high school junior during the 2009-
original charge Of driving under the
influence, alley behind Sunshine
Espresso. Cited and released.
10:25 p.m. - John Mark
Taylor, 32, arrested for menacing
and disorderly conduct, 3224 Main
St., Southfork Trailer Park. Cited,
held for detox and released. Caller
reported a male subject outside
pointing a shotgun at other subjects
in the park.
June 15
3 a.m. - John Edward Davis,
47, arrested on Sweet Home warrant
for failure to comply on original
charge of fraudulent use of a credit
card, Salem. Cited and released.
8:49 a.m. - Caller reported that
tenant has forged documents from
a financial institution to get out of
paying rent, 4600 block of Main.
Investigation continuing.
10:39 a.m. - Caller reported
theft of $100 in batteries from
travel trailer, South Fork Trading
Company.
12:46 p.m. - Elderly female's
vehicle hit a parked vehicle, 1540
Main St., Safeway. Driver was
Frances M. Knueppel, 84. Report
taken. No citations. No injuries.
Information exchanged. Both
vehicles towed from scene.
1:29 p.m. -Jeremy Michael
Wayne Hicks, 31, arrested on Linn
County warrant for failure to appear
on original charges of unauthorized
entry into a motor vehicle and first-
degree theft, Lebanon warrant for
failure to comply on original charge
of second-degree theft and Lebanon
warrant for failure to comply on
original charge of failure to appear,

Justice Court warrant for failure to
comply on an animal violation, 301

8:09 p.m. - Caller reported
that her stepson was bitten by a
neighbor's dog, 4100 block of
Osage. Dog owner contacted and
issued dog quarantine.
9:08 p.m. - Caller reported
theft of jar full of change, 1800
block of Tamarack. Report taken.
June 14
10:29 a.m. - Caller reported she
has a video of subjects shoplifting,
2405 Main St., Circle K. Report
taken.
11:42 a.m. - Ethan Edgerly-
Duke, 32, arrested for unauthorized
use of a vehicle, 500 block of 50th.
Caller had reported that her vehicle
had been taken after she received
information from a towing company
that it had been wrecked. Cited and
released.
1:52 p.m. - Caller reported
that someone used bank account
information to forge a check and
then signed the caller's name to it,
1400 block of Main. Report taken.
2:31 p.m. - Scott James Lutz,
41, arrested for misdemeanor
driving while suspended and cited
for driving uninsured, 2000 block
of Long. Cited and released.
2:43 p.m. - Caller reported that
someone used $880 off of caller's
welfare card, 1200 block of 44th.
Report taken.
5:29 p.m. - Caller reported
that someone broke into rental
house sometime in the past week,
1500 block of Ninth. Report taken
for theft of approximately $600 in
iteins.
8:42 p.m. - Officer flagged
