She was born in Washburn. N.D.. to Frederick E and Alvena (Schacher) Keck. She attended grade school and graduated from high school in Washburn. N.D.. in 1943. She graduated from Bismarck Junior College in Bismarck. N.D. in 1946. Mrs. Davenport was employed by the Bismarck School system as secretary to the junior high prin- cipal and then as secretary for the vice principal and the counselors at Sweet Home High School from SHCS is through a th expertise, disci 1966 until retir- ing in 1986. Mrs. Dav- enport was a member or the Oregon State Secretarial As- sociation and had been a church pianist at churches in North Dakota and Oregon for 56 years. She was a past member of Wash- burn Baptist Church in North Da- kota and Elm Street Baptist Church in Sweet Home. She enjoyed play- ing the piano at Wynwood Assisted Living. Mrs. Davenport ~s survived by children Lana G. Davenport of Albanyl Larry A. Davenport of Tigard, Rik L. and his wife. Lyn- hie Davenport. of Lebanon. Lance E. and his wife. Julie" Davenport II. of Abilene. Texas. L. Scott and his wife. Ann Davenport. of Bend: brother Rueben W. Keck of Wichi- ta Falls. Texas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister. Esther L. Keck Grnene- icb; brothers Dr. Ted E Keck. Al- vin E Keck, Gilbert L. Keck. Ar- nold W. Keck and ElmerL. (Bud) Keck: and one great-grandchild. Devon Brickeen Jan. 13. 1977-April 9, 2012 Devon Brickeen. 35. of Sweet Home died on Monday, April 9, 2012. He was born in Portland to Ger- ald Brickeen and Sally Tracy. He grew up in Lebanon and lived in Sweet Home the last two years. Mr. Brickeen was an apprentice in the plumbing trade. Mr. Bric- keen was a mem- ber of River of Life Church and First Christian in Lebanon. He enjoyed hunting and rock hounding. His fa- vorite movie was "Rambo." Mr. Brickeen is survived by his mother. Sally Tracy; stepfather. Llano Chisholm; stepmother. Suzii Turney; brother. Jarrad Brickeen; sisters. Colleen Kuchta. Chelsea Jones and Emma Brickeen: grand- mother. Doris Brickeen: and many nieces,nephews and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Brickeen. and grandpa, William Brickeen. He was born in Lebanon to Harry Smart and Mayme Belle (Peck) Hagle~ Don grew up in Sweet Home and graduated from Sweet Home High School in 1953. He received his pilot's license at 15 years old at Langmack Field in Sweet Home. He joined the U.S. Army in 1953 as an airborne para- trooper. He was stationed at Ft. Bragg, N.C. Don married Carol Layton in 1955. He was honorably discharged in 1956 and moved back to Oregon to start his family and career. Don and Carol had four chil- dren. He worked in public works in Florence, West Linn. Albany and Veneta. His hobbies included flying planes, electric trains, building remote control planes and boats. fishing hunting, gardening and his cats and dogs. Don is survived by his sons. James "Jim" and Kevin Hagle: daughter Sandy Hagle-Brown" brother Ted Hagle; sister Mary (Hagle) Cross: seven grandchil- dren: and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son. Greg Hagle; and his par- eats. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 22. at The Christian Church, 1825 Long St.. in Sweet Home.
