Coach Ken Anderson said the Huskies are "very young" and are learning fast. At Michelbrooke in McMinn- eville on Friday, the Huskies fin- ished fifth out of nine teams, all of them either 5A or 6A schools, including West Salem, Corvallis, Reynolds, Silverton, South Albany, Century and McMinneville. "We did good," Anderson said. Low scorer for the Huskies was Casey Homer, who shot 99. "We're progressing in a very positive manner," he said. "The kids are extremely good kids, very cordial, just wonderful." After a scramble event Mon- day at Aspen Lakes in Sisters, "that was just kind of a fun day," the Huskies headed for Emerald Val- ley Tuesday and were slated to be back on the course Thursday, April 12, at DiamOnd Woods. They will play at home, at Mallard Creek, Wednesday, April 18, and the following Wednesday, April 25. Both matches start at noon.
