Sweet Home boy's.exhibit wins first place award at rock show Chase Branson of Sweet Home was the overall winner in the Sweet Home Rock and Mineral Show's People's Choice competition, in which visitors vote on the exhibits they like the best. A total of 2,230 people paid to attend the 62nd annual show Satur- day and Sunday at the Sweet Home High School Activities Gym, Qrga- nizers said. The total count was 1,815 adults and 371 children, who got plastic eggs filled with polished rocks. Branson, whose father Todd Branson is a member of the Sweet Home Rock and Mineral Club along with his son, won for his exhibit of cabochonsstanding on copper stands he made. Photo by Sean C. Morgan Crawfordsville fire Firefighters pit out a fire in the remains of an RV a t 25763 Brush Creek Road. The fire was reported at 1:28 p.m. on March 28. The cause oft he fire was listed as accidental in the Sweet Home Fire and Ambu- lance District's fire report.
