Transported to Linn County Jail. Feb. 25 1:41 a.m. - Caller reported theft of beer from Circle K, 2405 Main St. Report taken. 2:13 a.m. - Jacob Joshua Jimenez, 20, arrested and Richard Anthony Bender Jr., 17, taken into custody for two counts of third degree theft and minor in possession of alcohol. Jimenez also arrested on Linn County supervisory warrant for failure to comply (owed four days in jail), 2405 Main St., Circle K. Jimenez transported to Linn County Jail. Bender released to father. Caller had reported that males had returned, this time stealing an 18-pack of beer. 8:27 p.m. - Caller reported subject dressed in black just walked into Safeway, 1540 Main St., and took two cases of beer without paying for them. Officer took report for theft. Approximate value was $52. Feb. 24 12:08 p.m. - Caller reported that two weeks earlier, someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole his son's cell phone and leatherman, 4900 block of Larch Court. Items were recovered during execution of a search warrant. 12:19 p.m. - Christina Rose Erickson, 15, referred to Juvenile Department for runaway, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. 1:10 p.m. - David Ray Elwood, 61, arrested on Sweet Home warrant / for failure to appear on original charge of driving under the influence, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department. Cited and released. 2:20 p.m. - Caller reported that newspapers that had been tied up for recycling were removed from location sometime in the past four to five days, 485 Main St., Vets Club. Value was $100. 3:09 p.m. - Caller reported a fist fight in neighbor's yard, 4500 block of Long. Second caller said two males came with knives in an attempt to take his daughter. Officers responded. Subjects had left after altercation involving knives. Officers tracked using canine but were unable to locate subjects. Report taken for second-degree assault. 4:09 p.m. - Caller reported a male chasing another from the Post Office toward Sankey Park yelling he is going to beat the other male. A second caller, the male chasing the other, reported that a male subject had grabbed his son's backpack. Second caller retrieved the backpack and some of the suspect's .clothing. Report taken. 8:12 p.m. - Caller reported hearing a highpitched beeping sound coming from the Sweet Home Sanitation transfer station, 1325 18th Ave., for at least two hours. Officer responded. Sound was coming from a semi-trailer full of garbage. windshield, cracking it, and then cursed at him and drove past, 18th and Kalmia. Officer contacted caller. No damage to truck. Information noted. Feb. 23 1:19 p.m. - Sonya Jean Taylor, 49, arrested for fraudulent use of a credit card, identity theft and possession of stolen property, Mallard Creek RV Park. Transported to Linn County Jail. 8:51 p.m. - Small flag taken from the front of building, 1200 block of Main. Report taken. Item worth $12. 3:42 p.m. - Rikki Danielle Door Haag, 20, cited for failure to use seatbelt and failure to register vehicle, Main Street at Napa. 4:57 p.m. - Ashley Mae Waters, 22, arrested on Linn County warrant for failure to appear on original charge of unauthorized departure and Albany warrant for failure to comply on original charges of second-degree theft, felon in possession of restricted weapon and carrying a concealed weapon, north of Tamarack on 18th. Cited and released. 5:24 p.m. - Caller reported a cat with a trap on its foot in parking lot of the Fire Hall, 1099 Long St. Officer responded and located cat under shed on nearby property. Officer and residents removed trap from leg, and the cat left immediately. 6:34 p.m. - Caller reported theft of bicycle from porch, 1300 block of Quince. Report taken. Approximate value was $200. 8:27 p.m. - Caller reported intoxicated male passed out in a booth at:Taco Time, 2301 Main St. Male was told to leave and then passed out on sidewalk. Officer responded. Male was fine and walked home. 10:05 p.m. - Makayla Rose Snyder, 15, taken into custody for fourth-degree assault, 1995 Grape Loop. Transported to Linn-Benton Juvenile Detention Center. Feb. 22 1:36 a.m. - Officer located vehicle with open door, 2"00 block of Seventh. Owner contacted. Vehicle had been entered. Report taken for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle. Nothing was taken. 8 a.m. - Caller reported theft of medication from table while she took her daughter to school, 2300 block of Main. Report taken for first-degree burglary and third-degree theft. 10:18 a.m. - Caller reported a male and female trying to get into the driver's door of a green Ford Explorer, Hilltop Market. Officer contacted female who was borrowing vehicle. She said her dog was in the vehicle, and she had someone break out the window because she could not get it unlocked. 2:31 p.m. - Caller reported someone filed an unemployment claim using the caller's information in November, 3-300 block of Juniper. Report taken. 2:47 p.m. - Caller reported that last night she crashed her vehicle into a ditch near Hawthorne School. Officer responded. Caller did not know the license plate number and was reluctant to provide information. The officer later determined the car was actually found in a ditch on Ames Creek Road and towed as a hazard. 3:39 p.m. - Caller reported she received a text from a male suspect in a previous assault and theft report, 27100 block of High Deck. Caller had filed for a restraining order against the suspect, who had gone to Texas and was calling to find out if it had been served. 5:38 p.m. - Caller reported that while driving by, she saw one young male hitting another at the skate park. Officer located a group of skateboarders near the junior high. One male indicated there was a confrontation at the skate park, including pushing and shoving. Chose to walk away rather than fight. 6:37 p.m. - Caller reported distraught young male just knocked on her door and said he took a bottle of pills, 5400 block of Quince. Male then left down 54th Avenue toward the river. Officer located male. He had purposely overdosed on over-the-counter medication. Medics transported male to hospital. No charges. 7:26 p.m. - Caller reported her neighbor just called and was scared, advising that someone had tried to get into two of her residence's doors, 1000 block of Cedar. Officer responded and noted that the neighbor had heard a door rattle. Feb. 21 11:14 a.m. - Steven Allen Jones, 22, cited for no seatbelt, 1300 block of Ninth. 11:57 a.m. - Zakaray Charles Milligan, 16, cited for driving outside restrictions, Rio Theater parking lot. 12:24 p.m. - Kathryn Linea Wilcox, 28, cited for no seatbelt, 16th off Elm. 12:39 p.m. - Bobby Joe Pointer- Loop, 21, cited for no seatbelt and driving while suspended, 13th and Main. 1:21 p.m. - Caller reported his pickup was stolen sometime between Feb. 19 and Feb. 21, 2400 block of Main. Report taken. 2:30 p.m. - Caller reported that his credit card had been taken, 1500 block of 12th. Report taken. 3:20 p.m. - Holly Ailene Hicks, 52, cited and released in field on Lebanon warrant for failure to comply on misdemeanor driving while suspended, 1237 Nandina St. 4:56 p.m. - Caller reported that her daughter's bike was stolen three weeks earlier, 2400 block of Main. Report taken. 6:26 p.m. - Caller reported that she and her father were driving down 44th Avenue when a female jumped in front of the vehicle and said she wanted the caller to hit her because she wanted to die. Female last seen walking toward Main. Officer located female who was out with her pastor, who said he would take her to the-doctor. 7:23 p.m. - Michael Louis Fontenot, 18, arrested for first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy and using a child for sexual display, 1950 Main St., Sweet Home Police Department.
